Numa Introduces Their Fastest
DTH Hammer - The Champion 60 HFE

Thompson, CT USA - Numa, a leading designer and manufacturer of down hole hammers and bits, has announced the introduction of the Numa Champion 60 HFE down hole hammer that has proven to be the fastest in their hammer fleet. The new design is perfectly suited for all drilling applications utilized in the water well, construction, mining, quarry, oil & gas and environmental industries.

Numa has dramatically improved the Champion 60 HFE by simplifying the hammer design. This was accomplished by eliminating several internal components and attaching the feed tube assembly within the backhead of the hammer. These changes promote much better alignment of all internal hammer parts resulting in longer hammer life, improved overall hammer performance and most importantly, faster penetration rates. In fact, field tests have shown that the Champion 60HFE is one of the fastest DTH hammers available on the market today.

The new Champion 60HFE is capable of drilling holes 6" to 8-1/2" (152-216 mm) in diameter and has an overall weight of just 243 lbs. (209 kg). The hammer boasts the ability to efficiently operate at pressures as low as 150 psi (10.2 bar) while also being able to deliver an impressive 1525 blows per minute at 350 psi (23.8 bar). Back pressure poses no problems as the C60 HFE drills efficiently against high heads of water. Typical horizontal and vertical applications include water wells, caissons, tie-backs, exploration drilling, pile/rock sockets, tunneling under roads and other jobs where large volume of rock excavation is required.

Numa is a major manufacturer of down hole hammers and bits for the international drilling industry. The company designs and builds down hole hammers and bits for drilling vertical and horizontal holes 3-1/2 to 43 inches (89 - 1092 mm) in diameter.
