Thompson, CT USA - Numa, a leading designer and manufacturer of down hole hammers and bits, has recently announced that Ralph H. Leonard has been named President of the company. He replaces Roland R. Leonard, who has takes on the role of Chairman.

In assuming the Presidency, Mr. Ralph Leonard noted that Numa's goal of developing and manufacturing high quality, professional down hole hammers and bits remains unchanged. "For over fourteen years now, the Numa name has been synonymous with quality products and the very highest level of customer service. We will continue to lead the industry in this fashion."

As President, Mr. Ralph Leonard will focus on the daily operations and strategies of the firm in order to further expand Numa's global presence in providing world class products for both the distributor and the end user markets. "Customers in the down hole hammer and bit industries face a number of hurdles in today's competitive market. Numa is working hard everyday to help develop the kinds of products required to meet these demanding needs," stated Mr. Leonard.

Prior to becoming President, Mr. Leonard has held various positions within Numa over the past thirteen years including Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Domestic Sales Manager and Vice President. During this time, he provided leadership in both the marketing and sales organizations. He was responsible for unifying the corporate message of a growing organization, developing and supporting North and South American sales and creating plans and objectives to meet established corporate goals.

As Chairman of Numa, Roland R. Leonard hands off his duties involving the management of daily operations and will now focus his efforts on leading the international sales organization and implementing the company's strategic direction.
